Default Breast Augmentation and Chest exercises

I had breast augmentation surgery (saline implants under the muscle) and was told I should never do any type of direct chest work again..including pushups. While I did indeed heed this advice in the beginning..really more to the soreness and pressure I felt, I have gradually started incorporating more and more into my workouts. My question is, has anyone else dealt with this and if you continued your chest work, did it present any issues for you?

I was never told not to do any chest work, and I haven't had any issues in the 8 years I've had them. I do pushups with a 25lb plate on my back, bench, dips, etc.

I was told to never do direct chest work as well, but I still do and haven't had any problems. I'm only 8 months post-op and it doesn't bother me at all. The one thing I don't like is the implant sliding out of the pocket and into my armpit when I flex. Other than that, no problems.

I was not told stop doing anything. I lost 20lbs on my lifts and most direct chest work seems harder but I do plenty of it and it doesn't bother me. I agree with Cara - pretty funky looking when you're flexing alright...

This is why I was told not to..due to it pushing the implants into the armpit.Did you have yours placed submuscular?

lol..Yes, I have added chest stuff back to my routine..if for no other reason than my workouts just felt unbalanced. There was only a very limited amount of things I could do that did not incorporate some chest so I finally said forget this and went for it.So far no problems!
