I would like to find a fish that the whole family would eat at least once a week. I've tried tilapia and thinks it is gross, we don't like salmon,....any suggestions. 3 of my family like fried catfish
but that isn't exactly diet friendly.

It tastes swampy to me. Halibut, orange roughy or flounder are really mild white fishes that I like and are generally acceptable to most people as far as fish goes. Tuna steak is good on the grill, too, but it has more of that "fish" flavor that some people don't like. But any of the first three fishes I named are good broiled with just lemon and a little bit of olive oil. If you get halibut steaks, those can stand up to being grilled. Filets do better in foil on the grill or in the oven.

This will sound horrible...but I think you need to ease into it. I would get a mild fish (not catfish so gross) and put it into a baking dish w/ tons of butter and tons of lemon juice. As you get used to eating it slowly take away the butter. Or you could "fry" your own fish. Use breadcrumbs and spray stick to coat the pan.
Whole foods has some really yummy marinades for fish. Good Luck!!
